Since there are a lot of us FSX lovers here, a thread like this seems usefull, we can share some info.

For starters read this if you havent already

We could think in a future about creating Flight simulator company in Vatsim and fly our routes. I should need to find time to fly (probably early sunday, saturday mornings) but in a future time (maybe summer) I could get back to flying.

Tom, I remember you asked for better textures for FSX.

I think the best company in scenery is OrbX. This is their site
http://www.fullterrain.com/

This is very interesting too

there is a big discussion about it here

oh, you can have GEX by Flight1 if you are in a hurry

Good stuff.
Have you tried Multi Crew Experince?
I have and i find my self telling the Co-Pilot to shut up.
I like it.
I also have A2A Sims downloads. I like the B-17 but it takes me 30 minutes to start all 4 motors if i don't use the auto start.

Just to let you know I am still around but not able to race.
Checkout the following for flight sims and try out World of Tanks.com. It is free unless you want to drive the fancy tank. Watch out though, your wife will be unhappy with the addiction to this game.

Bringing this subject up again. I'm determined to pick up flightsiming again. I'm already downloading lots of stuff. Got my Saitek stuff from my parents house and must buy a steam key for FSX.
Bruce does also fly FSX.
I'll be looking into VFR flying around south Peru as I did back several years ago in FS2004.

Will give it a try. So many things to install this weekend before I can only even start flying.

I have the same problem always.

When downloading frenitis settles down though, I end up with a good Mustang and Tile Proxy and nothing more :D

I'll be starting with Carenado's Cessna 182. Start from the basics doing short flights.

In a short time I'll be joining Vatsim or IVAO to fly online, though as my intentions are flying in Peru their virtual space will be rather empty.
